Intel Arrow Lake expected to ship October

Intel's next-generation desktop CPU's, designed to compete with AMD, are expected in October.

Intel desperately needs these CPU's out in the market to compete with the AMD Ryzen 9000 series CPU's as AMD continues to successfully and steadily eat into Intel's dominance across all markets.

Even corporates are starting to seriously consider AMD as a better-performing and cheaper value proposition.

Microsoft

Microsoft is retiring the Action Pack and Learning Pack for partners

This move is no surprise as Microsoft tried to remove internal use rights before, but had to back down due to serious backlash. The Action Pack is still available to renew up to January 2025, but after that, you will have to pick of Microsoft's new, more expensive options. You can read more here.

Exchange Server 2016 and Dynamics PSA losing support

Exchange Server 2016 will end support in October 2025, necessitating a migration to Exchange 2019 or other more cloudy plans. However, Dynamics PSA will also end support in March 2025, with the upgrade path to Dynamics 365 Project Operations. You can read more about this here.

If your business is using Microsoft products that are coming to the end of support, advance notice is important, especially for Dynamics. Please contact us and our Dynamics specialists can help you plan the migration.

AI capability is clearly increasing at an exponential rate, and it's vital that you start to experiment with it, in particular, to make sure your company is ready for AI to be deployed by ensuring your data is secured and classified as best as you can beforehand. We can help you by getting our data platform security specialists to start with planning this with you.

You have no way of knowing if an AI wrote a document (or helped)

AI is capable of passing most tests and completing almost all homework assignments. The same applies to its application in the workplace.

Detecting AI does not work, and if you have spent money trying to detect it, you may have wasted it.

Instead, with AI a reality, it might be better to consider deploying AI in your company and encouraging staff to use it - teaching people to think with AI, and not to use AI to replace thinking.
